Celebrations on the River Wedding, La Crosse, Wisconsin

Lexi & Erik had the most perfect day for their wedding at Celebrations on the River in La Crosse, Wisconsin. From start to finish, the day was relaxed, joy-filled, and fun! The weather forecast of rain disappeared, and by the end of the night we had a gorgeous golden hour for portraits.

Lexi & Erik met in college and quickly became good friends. During their first look, they shared private personal vows with each other. Lexi shared about the time they spent together before they were dating, and knowing that she wanted to end up with him when she realized she missed him when they had to say goodbye. Throughout the day, Erik showed his love for Lexi in every small moment. I saw it in his laughter during portraits, in the way he would pull Lexi close for hugs, and how he had everyone take a moment to admire her during his speech at the reception. These two are perfect for each other, and I love the sweet and relaxed love they share.

Two special family members spoke during Lexi & Erik’s wedding ceremony, and both speeches brought tears to many eyes. Their ceremony recessional was accentuated with bubbles, and I love the joy in both Lexi and Erik’s faces as they made their first walk as husband and wife! After meaningful speeches during the reception, we were able to sneak away for husband and wife portraits during the dreamiest golden hour. Lexi & Erik were more than happy to spend a few extra moments with just the two of them before returning inside to the party.

The first dances were extra special because Erik’s father and his band were the ones playing and singing. It was so fun to watch Erik and his mother dancing to his dad’s voice! Then, Erik surprised everyone by joining the band on the drums to play a few group dance songs. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the dance floor!
