Monica and Ethan had us laughing throughout their entire engagement session at Lebanon Hills in Eagan, Minnesota. These two are just so incredibly fun and easy to be around, and their story is so sweet!

Monica and Ethan met at Dating with Dogs event before either had their own dog! Each borrowed a family member’s dog to attend the event, and as they describe it “their dogs met eyes and they inched closer and closer as the night went on!” After talking, they found out they attended the same high school growing up (they are 4 years apart) and they both attended college in La Crosse! They hit it off and began dating after this amazing meet cute straight out of a romcom.

The pandemic made the beginning of their dating life interesting. They enjoyed socially distanced hikes and Ethan delivered homemade muffins to Monica (he now calls her his raspberry muffin!). Eventually, they were able to spend more time together. They enjoyed a weekend at a cabin in northern Minnesota where they had an awesome time paddle boarding on the lake and playing with squirt guns!

A year later, Monica and Ethan made a summer weekend trip to the same cabin. Ethan had coordinated with the cabin owner that he was going to propose over their stay. His plan was to make a big breakfast and then pop the question! He tried to convince Monica to wear a dress, which she quickly declined because of the summer heat, haha. Ethan made his famous raspberry muffins and a big breakfast meal, and they went outside to the porch to eat. Needless to say, Monica enjoyed her breakfast and Ethan could barely eat a thing!

Ethan explained how he wanted their trip to be special, and Monica could make the trip even more special by becoming his fiancé! How sweet! Now, Monica and Ethan have a pup of their own named Doug who joined us for a few photos during their engagement session.
