Cody and Ashley’s wedding day was full of wonder, winter, and wisdom. The dreamy fluffy snowfall that fell just before their wedding day, the recently completed bridal suite, and the incredible sunset that reminded them of the day Cody asked Ashley to marry him were only a few of the things that made it obvious that God had a plan for this day.

One of my favorite parts of wedding days is getting to hang out with the bridesmaids and groomsmen as they get ready in the morning. You can honestly feel the excitement, the anticipation, and the joy as you step into the room.

 

 

 

The girls were full of giggles and sweet encouragement. They were such cheerleaders for Ashley, and when it came time for her to put on her dress they were so ecstatic! There was a huge applause when she turned around for the full reveal- so sweet!!

 

 

 

 

Ashley was stunning, and she bore the chilly temps like an absolute champ! There’s just something about a bride in white with a fluffy fur jacket…despite how cold it is, it just warms your heart!

Cody was just as full of smiles as Ashley!

Before it was time to see her groom for the first time on her wedding day, Ashley’s bridesmaids had a moment of prayer that was so sweet and special.

When it was time for Cody and Ashley to do their first look, we were so ready! We knew that their joy would be simply overflowing. Those moments as Ashley walked through the snowy path to where Cody was waiting for her were full of excitement, love, and a sense of peace! Cody took one glance at his bride and immediately wrapped her up in the biggest hug!

 

With the help of their families, Cody and Ashley transformed Pettibone Resort into a cozy winter wonderland, complete with a hot chocolate bar and the coolest s’more station I’ve ever seen at a wedding!! It is always a pleasure to see two families grow together, and the Jensen and Kramer families both were so full of joy.

The day was flying by and it was already time for Ashley to walk down the aisle! Cody and Ashley’s ceremony was centered on praising God for all he has done in their lives and in their relationship. So many encouraging words were spoken during the ceremony and the reception that were an incredible testimony to the people that Cody and Ashley have chosen to be. They are servants, focused on lifting others up, they are humble, compassionate, funny, and a perfect match. It was a delight to see them become the center of attention and receive encouragement from their closest family and friends.

There was this great moment during the exchange of rings when instead of responding “I do” to Cody, Ashley said “yeeees…” in a goofy voice and then immediately said “I mean I do! I do!” It was perfect.

Cody proposed to Ashley at the top of a bluff at sunset. It was intimate and wonderful, and now they share a love of sunsets. Despite the many cloudy overcast days leading up to their wedding day, the sky was clear and the sunset was glorious! We snuck out after the ceremony and were able to capture more portraits of the new bride and groom!!

Afterwards, it was time to celebrate! Everyone was ready to toast Cody and Ashley, eat delicious food, make some s’mores, and dance the night away!

 

Cody and Ashley- we are so blessed to know you. Your marriage is going to shake the world, and we cannot wait to watch it happen. Don’t stop reliving this day, and know your love is only going to grow deeper and stronger as the days pass by.
