Javon and Katie share one of the sweetest, most joy-filled loves we have seen. From the start of their session it was obvious. We were strolling down Caledonia Street in La Crosse. Finally, walking barefoot along Black River Beach, Katie and Javon were full of laughter and tight squeezes the whole time. As if these two weren’t adorable enough already, then you find out they are high school sweethearts. They met and fell in love as teenagers, and their love has only grown since high school!

How sweet it will be for them to look back on these photos years down the road, to show them to their grandchildren and explain how exciting it was to be engaged. They will be able to share memories of walking down the halls of their high school together, of nights spent cheering on the football team, of graduating and deciding that they didn’t want to ever have to say “goodbye.”

Katie is kind, endearing, and humble. Javon is her perfect match and knows just what to do to make her laugh. The first time I asked Javon to wrap Katie up in his arms, he grabbed her tight and pulled her in close. Then I knew, this is going to be easy! 😉 We spent time in their childhood neighborhood, to add even more sentiment to this story.
