Eagle River Wedding

October 4, 2019

I cannot start this blog post without bragging on my friend Grace. You see, our story starts long before Josh came into the picture. Grace and I found each other through a Facebook roommate search that was somewhat like match.com for a roommate. Grace checked all the boxes that I was looking for in a certain roommate and we started talking. We soon were chatting about our love for Harry Potter, and I was giddy that I had found someone who might become a true friend.

Fast forward through six years (yes, six years) of living together: so many late nights doing homework together, trying to pass the FORT test for our Education majors, eating copious amounts of sweets and baked goods, watching all of the Disney movies I never saw as a kid, singing our favorite songs on guitar, taking spontaneous driving trips when we were feeling stressed, walks to the Pearl for ice cream, and so, so, SO much more! Through it all, Grace has become one of my best friends.

Although Grace would tell you in a heartbeat that she is NOT an extrovert, she has the ability to make anyone feel welcome. She loves her people fiercely, and I am so honored to be her friend. So when a mysterious boy started calling Grace and keeping her up chatting for hours at night, I knew he must be something special. I see the same loyal and strong love portrayed by Josh. He took my tough and fierce friend and made her just a little more cuddly 😉

Grace and Josh celebrated in the field outside of Grace’s father’s church. It was the most beautiful and crisp fall day; blue skies stretched over the horizon and fluffy clouds spotted the sky. We wandered through the field of Josh’s family farm for their first look and bridal portraits. They were married by Grace’s father. Josh’s sister made fresh jam as favors for guests from berries grown at the family farm. Centerpieces were raffled off and taken home at the end of the night. A circle formed around the bride and groom during the dance, and as much as Grace dislikes being the center of attention, I like to think she really loved that moment surrounded by all of her loved ones. 🙂

Enjoy our favorite images from one of the most perfect days. <3

Grace and Josh, we love you both so much! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things that you both do together as a married couple. We know that many people will be blessed by your love. We are cheering you on!! xoxo, Andrea + Cody
