When we walked into Paul and Bethany’s house, Bethany’s mom greeted us with the biggest smile! She welcomed us in and their 3 dogs greeted us at the door with excitement. The bridesmaids were relaxing in the living room while Bethany’s maid of honor, who is also an incredible makeup artist, put the finishing touches of makeup on her. The whole room radiated as the girls were all so ready to celebrate this special day! At the same time, Paul and his groomsmen were busy preparing the beautiful backyard ceremony and reception locations with laughter and smiles.

Paul and Bethany’s love is deeply affectionate and gentle, and this is evident to everyone who knows them. Their families and friends shared the ways it has moved their own hearts. We saw it during their portraits in the ways they held one another and laughed together and how they spoke to one another. Another quality these two share is their kindness to the people around them. Multiple people noted this in their speeches throughout the wedding day. It’s obvious these two have a whole community coming around them who are just as excited about their marriage as they are!

This celebration was made even more special because of it’s location- Paul’s mother’s backyard. How sweet is it that Bethany got to walk out the doors of his home as she started her walk down the aisle? The whole day really felt like the coming together of a big family: the backyard ceremony, the family portraits under the shade of a big tree, children and adults alike playing yard games and laughing, and sunset strolls in the orchard. Cody and I had such a wonderful time celebrating Bethany and Paul as they became husband and wife. We hope you enjoy all of our favorite images from their special day!
