Trillium Creek Wedding, Athens, WI

September 22, 2020

Through so much uncertainty and changes to their plans, Alex and Nate were relieved and so thankful to be able to have their ceremony at Trillium Creek Wedding and Event Barn. They had been imagining their wedding at this location for so long, it was sad to think there was a chance they’d have to change locations. On top of that blessing, their wedding day was absolutely wonderful: full of joy, laughter, and excitement heard anywhere near their family and friends. With the beautiful signage put together by Alex’s father, gorgeous florals by Green Bee Floral Designs, and the Trillium Creek Barn as the backdrop, their intimate ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect.

Everyone present was full of so much joy and so ready to celebrate Alex + Nate. The groomsmen were full of life and laughter, especially when we asked them to get a little rough for some photos. The bridesmaids held back excited tears when Alex got into her wedding gown, and giggled throughout portraits.
Alex and Nate waited until the ceremony to see each other. Alex exited the barn with her father and slowly made her way down the gorgeous balcony stairs to her future husband! Nate diligently kept his eyes down until Alex was in front of him!  The moment they saw each other, the atmosphere filled with an overwhelming happiness. The love these two have for each other moves anyone around them, and we felt it in that moment. Throughout the ceremony, I couldn’t help but notice how Alex and Nate couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other!
When it was finally time for husband and wife portraits, Trillium Creek provided the perfect backdrop! The weather throughout the entire day was so perfect, and we got the prettiest sunset. The rest of the guests had left and gone to the reception, so we had the most peaceful time capturing Alex and Nate’s portraits. As we captured these beautiful moments, the sunset glow dipped below the tops of the trees.
Before leaving to have dinner with their guests, Alex and Nate cut a small slice of cake to sneak a quick taste. The cake was special because Alex’s Aunt made it for them with her famous buttercream frosting.  Cody and I can attest that it was delicious!

This day from start to finish was so beautiful, enjoy our favorites from this Trillium Creek Wedding Day!

Alex and Nate, we are so glad we could celebrate with you on your wedding day! You’re joy is contagious and your love for one another is so so sweet. We pray you continue to share greater joys in marriage and that your love thrives in caring for one another without bounds.
xoxo,
