The sanctuary flooded with voices singing together as the wedding processional entered, each a close friend, a brother,  a sister, gleaming joy in their eyes seeing their friend Luke waiting with a mountain of excitement to soon see his bride. Despite a short engagement and most of their relationship happening overseas, it is evident to their family and friends that they belong together. It’s shown in the words they say about one another and their gentleness toward each other.

The men standing by Luke were honorable and kind. They looked for ways to laugh and to reach out and support others, especially when putting on their ties! Their friendships demonstrate bonds that were made to build one another up to be greater each day. It was impossible not to notice their closeness, simply by spending a few minutes with them!

The women beside Sarah shared every bit of excitement for their dear friend and sister. Their words were full of joy and love all throughout the day. These women surrounded Sarah in prayer praising God for redeeming Sarah and Luke. They thanked Him for leading Sarah and Luke together, and asked for their love to continually grow stronger together and in His love. These women truly adore and look up to one another. On this day that one of their dearest friends was to be married, their joy was overwhelming!

The wedding party had all entered, and with all voices in the church singing a hymn in one voice, Luke turned his back to the entrance of the sanctuary until Sarah and her father passed through the doors. As he turned to face her, a wave of emotions filled his entire being. Finally, this moment which he could only ever imagine was here and happening in real life. Tears filled his eyes and his smile could not be hidden as he watched his bride coming to meet him. Sarah’s joy lit up the room. Her eyes showed her affection for Luke, the one her soul loves. Her father hugged her tightly before she went up, and holding back tears he repeated, “I love you…I love you.”

Sarah and Luke celebrated their day surrounded by dear friends and close family, extending their gratitude for each one who came to share in their joyous wedding day. They never passed up a moment to get lost in each other’s eyes, even in the midst of a room full of people. They were present and attentive to one another. All day, their looks to one another showed celebration, adoration, and deep love.
