Jennelle and Derrick had been waiting for this day for a long time! Since middle school, they’ve known each other and what started as a friendship became a beautiful relationship and a close family. They originally planned their wedding day for August of 2020, but unfortunately had to wait another year before they said “I do.” Despite all of this waiting, the day finally arrived, and it ended up being a beautiful one!  Jennelle and Derrick celebrated their entire day at Cedar Creek Country Club, and it was a perfect fit!

When Cody and I arrived, Jennelle and her girls were excited and ready to see Jennelle in her wedding dress. Jennelle and Derrick’s little girl was so smiley and silly all day long- she was very eager to celebrate her mom and dad! When it came time for Derrick to finally see his bride walk down the aisle, he couldn’t keep the smile off his face! One of my favorite moments from this day was sneaking out of the reception for sunset photos. It is so nice to step out of the party for a few quiet moments as a couple, and Cody and I do our best to ensure that each of our brides and grooms can enjoy this time together. I couldn’t believe the gorgeous golden hour we had, and you’ll have to be sure to scroll all the way to the end of the post to see what I mean! It was the perfect way to finish our time with Jennelle and Derrick!
