Myrick Park, La Crosse Engagement Session

Myrick Park, La Crosse Engagement Session

August 27, 2021

We met Natalie and Tyler at Myrick Park in La Crosse for the start of their engagement session. It was wonderful to meet them in person after we had spoken over Zoom when they booked with us. Myrick Park was actually where they went on one of their first dates! It looked very different than it did on that day, though! Instead of being covered in snow, Myrick Park was in full bloom with luscious greens and thousands (I’m not even exaggerating) of mosquitoes!! When Cody and I were leaving our house, I couldn’t believe how blessed we were with the weather- it was the perfect summer evening! I never expected the amount of bugs we would have to deal with on this session- but Tyler and Natalie were absolutely amazing about it.

To deal with the bugs, we went through poses and locations as quickly as possible. Luckily, Natalie and Tyler are incredibly comfortable with each other and many times they settled themselves into poses without much help from us! Natalie loves flowers and Tyler proposed near a garden, so we tried to take any opportunity to incorporate flowers into their session! We were hoping to travel to a remote area on the bluffs for the second half of their session, but I cannot even describe how many bugs surrounded us from the moment we stepped out of the car!! Instead of staying there, we decided to try Granddad’s Bluff, and I’m so glad we did. A soft breeze was blowing, the sunset had painted the sky a little pink, and we didn’t deal with any mosquitoes.

Enjoy our favorites from Natalie and Tyler’s La Crosse Engagement Session!
