The sun was shining bright and there was not a cloud in the sky for Izzy & Matt’s La Crosse Country Club Wedding! As we walked into the girl’s getting ready room, the music was pumping and the girls were already having a great time. We grabbed Izzy & Matt’s details and an incredible flatlay floral piece put together by Shanna with Evoke Chancy Floral and began photographing the day. Izzy is a very detail-oriented bride, and it was an absolute dream to capture all of the special items she and Matt had chosen, such as the gorgeous invitation suite or her custom jean jacket by Judith March.

After details and getting Matt and Izzy ready, it was time for their first look! Many of our couples this year have had feelings of anxiousness before their first look- which is entirely understandable! They have been planning this important day for months now, and when the real wedding day finally comes it can feel overwhelming! Something that is so beautiful about first looks is that it gives you a chance to see your best friend and be reminded of all the reasons why this wedding day is happening. Izzy and Matt were able to chat about their mornings, give each other hugs, do a 360 spin for each other and just spend time being together. It is a wonder how being with each other can calm nerves and amplify excitement for the day to come!

The La Crosse Country Club gave us some dreamy vibes for Izzy and Matt’s portrait time. While we photographed them, we stayed in the shade of a giant maple tree and Izzy and Matt held each other close- that is with the exception of the times when Matt was tickling Izzy! The wedding party was living up to their name and they were ready to party and celebrate the love that Izzy and Matt share. As everyone went back inside to hide away before the ceremony, Cody and I captured the gorgeous floral arrangements at the ceremony site.

With a backdrop of the rolling greens of the country club, Izzy and Matt said “I do.” During the ceremony, their pastor spoke of days that are sure to come for any married couple. Days where you may not feel the love, but you make a choice to love anyway. This is such a huge part of what Cody and I believe about marriage, and we are certain that when challenges come Izzy and Matt will choose each other above all else.

The guests that came to share in Izzy and Matt’s wedding day were in for a treat with their reception. As I said earlier, Izzy is very detail-oriented, so the reception was set for everyone to have a good time! Pink drink tokens were set at tables for cocktail hour, a greenery photo booth was set up for guests to grab a photo, and the dessert options were endless: cake from Cowboy David’s Bakery, cookies from Christy’s Custom Confections, and ice cream from the famous Pearl Confectionary. We ended the evening with sunset portraits and the first dances on the dance floor.
