Riverside Park and Granddad’s Bluff are such iconic La Crosse, WI locations that were perfect for Lexi & Erik’s engagement session. Not to mention the incredible sunset that we were blessed with on the bluffs!

Lexi and Erik met while attending UWL (they actually lived in the same dorm that I did my own freshman year- go Coate Hall!). In the dorms, there were study cubes between the halls where Lexi and Erik lived. They met some of their best friends that year in Coate Hall and formed a pretty large friend group! When we first met with Lexi and Erik, Erik told us how many nights he spent in the study cube on their floor. The story is that Lexi and her friends liked to stay up too late doing quizzes on Buzzfeed. Erik wanted to spend more time with Lexi, so he would hang out and pretend to be doing his homework while Lexi and her friends did their fun quizzes. He said he spent a lot of time procrastinating doing his homework that year, which I thought was adorable!

Lexi and Erik were friends for a few years before they started their relationship. I think it can be so special when a couple has gotten to know each other really well as friends and has already formed a solid bond before starting their relationship! Lexi and Erik were a little concerned about how things would turn out as they transitioned from friends to more than friends, but everything worked out perfectly! These two love spending time together, relaxing and going on car rides, watching Criminal Minds, or visiting breweries.
