Kohler Andrae State Park Wisconsin Engagement Session

Cody and I love when our couples suggest engagement session locations that are new to us! We have a few favorite spots that we enjoy visiting over and over, but there is just something special about exploring a new location with a couple! This location was an absolute dream!! MaKayla had spent her childhood visiting Kohler Andrae State Park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, so it made it even more meaningful that we were able to be there for her engagement session. After experiencing the park myself, it is on my bucket list to go back again soon- hopefully on a day that is a little warmer 😉

MaKayla and John met in college and found us through another friend from college who had recently booked us (shoutout to Nikki & Josh!) A few weeks after we had captured Nikki & Josh’s engagement session, MaKayla reached out to us describing how they had shared how positive their experience was and how they loved the photos! Cody and I take each referral to heart and we feel so incredibly thankful that our previous wedding couples are always sharing us with newly engaged couples! MaKayla and John shared with us how John proposed in Arizona during a beautiful hike. They are getting married this July at the gorgeous Westlin Hall in Green Bay!

Kohler Andrae State Park was the perfect way to bring some summery vibes to this spring engagement session! I honestly felt transported right to an ocean beach and I was living in a dream throughout the entire session. As you enter the park, it looks very similar to any other forest state park in Wisconsin. But the further you drive, the more the forests turn to hills that then turn into sand dunes. Soon you are greeted by the view of Lake Michigan, which is breathtaking! Both MaKayla and John were up for trekking along the dunes and being playful on the beach.
